You’re going to just LOVE the new America.
Where business owners will be arrested and fined for working.
And mothers will be arrested for bringing their children to a park.
Winslow, Arizona police recently released body camera footage of the arrest of a hardened criminal business owner.
“We don’t want you to feel like we’re harassing you.” – Winslow police.
“If you’re open for business we have that right.” – Winslow police.
Arizona, a state of 7 million, has had 208 coronavirus deaths this year.
This is an shocking video!

Gov. Doug Ducey had declared a public health emergency because of the coronavirus outbreak in March. Later that month, he issued a stay-at-home order, prohibiting any business not deemed essential from conducting in-person business.
But several people complained to the Winslow mayor when Authentic Indian Store, which primarily sold Native American jewelry, stayed open well into April, police said.
The body camera video shows police contacting the owner, 71-year-old Daniel J. Mazon, on April 11.
As soon as the officers walk in, Mazon starts recording them with his cell phone. When officers tell him he can’t stay open, Mazon argues that he is in compliance, saying he changed his license name to “Indian Department Store.”
He told officers he was now selling hay, paper towels, water and food, which officers noted were just candy bars.
“I get one or two people a day – corona bologna,” Mazon says as an officer looks at his store license.
Police said Mazon had been warned twice about keeping his store open, once by the Winslow mayor and once again by police, in the days before this incident. The officer says in the body camera video that these warnings came after the store license was issued on March 24.
What would you have AG Barr do right now?
Did you see the girl in the flat-bed Ford?
He didn’t want to provide identification, fine, then you have to provide your full name so you can be issued the ticket. He didn’t want to do that, failure to identify, you go down to the station to be identified.
You can absolutely argue the ticket for violating a public health order (probably a couple as likely the health department requires all stores that sell food to pass a health inspection.) But failure to identify has but one result, you in handcuffs going to the station.
Lawyer later might be able to make a claim of false arrest, but there’s such a huge body of law covering failure to identify, you’ll likely only waste cash fighting that.
But man, what an idiot, should have just gotten the pawnbroker license and been done with it (unless he or designated employees can’t pass the background check.)
Odd, they are under no obligation to protect. Are they under an obligation to harass?
Where are the damned attorneys? If someone wanted to have sex with lizards there’d be fifty of them defending you.
I did, I did.
She even slowed down to take a look at me.
Cops dont enforce every law, just the ones they want or are encouraged to enforce. These Nazis certainly dont enforce immigration laws or cooperate with ICE. But theyll set up a sting for a guy who is doing nothing more than trying to feed his family.
BTW, these cops were not enforcing a law. There is no law prohibiting what he was doing. They were enforcing an unconstitutional decree.
They could have ignored it like they ignore immigration laws and public health laws when they see a Gardner mowing their lawn or a tamale cart pusher in a Barrio.
Yeah, these were Nazi pigs.
You sir, hit the nail squarely on the head. Not only did the sheep surrender without so much as a whimper. They demanded that the Government take control of them. While they cower where ever they cower shaking like a Chihuahua dog trying to shit a peach seed crying,”Woe is me, I am going to get the virus. “Alas I am going to die.” I am going to die, but I don’t dwell on it. Everyone living today, sooner or later will die.Live your life. Enjoy life while you are living.
“Cops dont make the law they enforce it”
These aren’t laws, these are edicts from corrupt politicians. There has to be an accounting.
I didn't even know that was an option.
It gets a bit creepier. Here’s more of the story: https://www.12news.com/article/news/local/arizona/winslow-store-owner-cited-for-keeping-non-essential-business-open-during-covid-19-outbreak/75-d584c4a8-c040-4ae1-8f01-2a967c3cbffe
Here’s the thing: so he re-stocked to make himself essential by caring just a few goods like he mentioned in the video. Cool. Fine. But then: “The man told police that these items meant it was now a ‘department store.’ Officers said there were no grocery items or medications that would make it an essential business. “
So the cops are now determining what constitutes enough and what type of merchandise before a business becomes essential? He had paper towels; two weeks ago he’d have been essential in my neighborhood!
In that, you are correct.
“Girl in a Ford”
There was one who slowed down to take a look at me.
I agree.
I told her, “Open up I’m hopping in.”
William Penn the Younger had something to say about essential.
I hope that guy insists on a jury trial.
This is ridiculous
