This headline and first sentence are highly misleading. This is NOT a "test" in any sense. It is merely a sample collection kit to be used at home rather than having to go to a medical facility.

Don’t expect to get one of these tests. Even if there were to be made generally available, and hundreds of millions magically produced, every neurotic brain-addled hypochondriac is going to buy up pallets of them to test themselves every 30 seconds.

Sounds like a cash cow for the manufacturer, though.

That's a misleading photo. The manufacturer's web site says:

So you can test your "immununity" by shoving a Q-Tip up your nose and sending it back to them for testing.

Would you trust a medical device company that cannot even spell "immunity" on its own web site???

I don't know what the big deal about TESTING is.
One either HAS the virus and is sick as a dog OR one doesn't have the virus and is careful.

Who needs a test to know if he's sick?

And we know that not all tests or testing is 100% correct all the time.

Not terribly exciting. This is a self-collection kit. You swab your own nose and then mail it in and wait for this results. Not really seeing this as a major game changer. It ain’t an instant-result home pregnancy test sorta thing.
