'Reopen Wisconsin' organizers say protest will go on without permit

“Reopen Wisconsin” organizers announced that Friday’s protest against the state's stay-at-home order will continue without a permit.

Organizer Madison Marie posted on Facebook Tuesday that their rally had “officially” been denied a permit to gather to protest Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers’s (D) order requiring the state’s residents to stay home during the coronavirus pandemic.

“The Permit was filed as a courtesy to not ruffle feathers. The Rally is still happening,” she posted, encouraging people to “Peacefully assemble” on Friday at 1 p.m.

More than 3,000 people have responded that they plan to attend, and another 12,000 said they were interested.

A spokeswoman from Wisconsin’s Department of Administration (DOA) told Madison365 that during the coronavirus pandemic it is rejecting all permits for events inside the Capitol building and considering events to be held outside on a “case-by-case basis.”

The 1st Amendment is not permissive. It’s mandatory.

The Act 10 protesters in Wisconsin set the tone for this 10 years ago. Many of them camped out continuously, they ignored orders, vandalized and made a mess, and were tolerated by the local law enforcement for a VERY long time.

This is a prairie fire that ain’t gonna be put out.

The DemGovs don’t have the stomach for a Kent State moment over this. Nowhere near.

‘Permits? We don’t need no stinkin’ permits’

That’s what the Union Goons and the Teacher’s Union and everyday unwashed Hippies said when they trashed our State Capitol (inside and out) during Governor Walker’s Recall BS!

And - they got away with it! This Friday, count on lots of arrests of Conservatives, Christians, Business Owners and Everyday Taxpayers! There may be even a few shots fired. :(

The 2nd Amendment is our permit to exercise our 1st Amendment rights. These Nazi goobernators would do well to remember that.

Ballot box, soap box, ammo box.

BINGO!

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press;

***or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances***”.

“Ohio man who dismissed the coronavirus pandemic as a “political ploy” and ripped his state’s lockdown as “bulls–t,” has died of COVID-19, according to report.... If you are paranoid about getting sick just don’t go out. It shouldn’t keep those of us from living our lives,” he wrote, according to the reports.” more at:

We all are against needless lockdowns, but practice common sense. The virus is not a hoax and it is from a Chinese weapons lab.

Which is why the michighan protest was able to be held and wasn’t dispersed. The state didn’t have a monopoly on force.

...time for everyone to print out a copy - have it ready anytime authorities ask if you’ve permission. They seem to have forgotten - the permission contract was agreed to a long time ago. They don’t just get to decide to change the contract. If they breach the contract then I don’t have to recognize their authority either.
