BTW, the Japanese have not ordered any business to close, they are only issuing recommendations. Almost all of their new cases are among the young who do not heed the recommendations for social distancing.
Japan had a very negative experience with fascism before and during World War II. Public transportation in Tokyo is still running at about 40% capacity. The governor (yes, Tokyo is a province, not a city) was on television recently to assure them that pubic transit and businesses would continue to operate because they don't want to infect the countryside.
I won't print the actual number of cases and deaths because it changes regularly and is easy enough to look up. Let's just say that what they have nationwide is considerably less than certain neighborhoods in NYC.
Countries (like the Czech Republic) with 100% mask wearing have very few cases, less deaths and FLAT curves.
Countries that do not have EXPONENTIAL curves, tens if not hundreds of thousands of cases, and thousands of deaths.
So, yeah..wearing a mask WORKS in reducing the spread and getting this thing under control - regardless of the complete BS being spewed by the WHO and others.
It’s completely ridiculous and incredibly misinformed beyond words to say that “wearing a mask is stupid”.
