The WHO says on their site via a document:
"there is currently no evidence that wearing a mask (whether medical or other types) by healthy persons in the wider community setting, including universal community masking, can prevent them from infection with respiratory viruses, including COVID-19."
And that masks may cause:
• self-contamination that can occur by touching and reusing contaminated mask
• depending on type of mask used, potential breathing difficulties
• false sense of security, leading to potentially less adherence to other preventive measures such as physical distancing and hand hygiene
• diversion of mask supplies and consequent shortage of mask for health care workers
• diversion of resources from effective public health measures, such as hand hygiene
I understand the mask stuff but some of the people that are wearing them have an attitude that makes me just not want to go anywhere.

Yes, you DO spray droplets with a so-called mask. A banana or a dust mask is useless. They have only a 2% efficiency at stopping a virus. Viruses are not as big as a dust particle.
Maybe because they actually know how to use them, change them after each patient they see, etc? And aren’t walking around the grocery store constantly adjusting their mask and then touching multiple items on the shelf. But what do I know

AFAIK (subject to change daily), corona virus is carried in the droplets when people exhale. Any barrier to keep the virus from leaving a infected person and getting into a noninflected person is better than nothing at all.

Same with many other illnesses. You cannot always tell who has what. Have we always worn masks because of that?
Most of these illnesses (1) aren’t as communicable; (2) don’t have long periods where an asymptomatic person can spread them (both before and after the period with symptoms); (3) can’t exist on surfaces for long periods; (4) don’t kill you if you get them.
Why do you assume that the general public is NOT wearing N95 masks?
Just back from Red Communist Gainesville (Fla), and everyone was wearing a mask. I am sure unspoken intimidation, factors into the equation so much so that people who care nothing about wearing one does it to not be singled out. It sure made me feel a bit uncomfortable to be “different”...like I needed to assure them that I am a good person.
Weird experience. But, at least no brain washed citizen (ie liberal big mouth enforcer type) stopped to chastise me this trip. Sure glad to be back home in the woods.

Asymptomatic means you don't have symptoms.

It is, indeed SCANDALOUS for a body to spend more money in “administrative costs” and “travel costs’ than the amount given to the target charities!
We must end this scandal. Kick the UN out of New York, send them to Siberia and only give them a small commission to donate OUR MONEY to others.
