L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti nearly broke down in tears as he delivered his annual “State of the City” address on Sunday evening in front of an empty City Council chamber.

Telling residents “this is the worst it’s ever been,” Garcetti choked up as he said: “Our city is under attack. Our daily life is unrecognizable. We are bowed and we are worn down. We are grieving our dead.”

When will any of these leaders truly humbke themselves, and ask God for help?

God may help him when he come to his senses. I wonder if he ever really looks at the damage his politics have done.

Garcetti dug the grave with other Rats and RINOs - non-Freedom loving progressives that actually think government can solve problems. My heart bleeds. Keep crying.

When are people going to see politicians like Mayor Yoga Pants as being the manipulative opportunistic ACTORS that they are?

Good. They’ve been spending all their money supporting tax evading illegal aliens and now they have no money left to pay their lazy tax eating non essential bureaucrats. When their pension fund goes belly up, maybe they’ll free up their economy.

Suck it up buttercup. This was a man made disaster created by no one but Gacertti himself.
Let him live with the consequences of his own actions.

Ask God? They think they are God.

He left out all the important phrases - It is the worst it’s ever been ‘because of me’ ... ‘I do plan to make it even worse’ ... “I really am happy with my ‘snitch on your neighbors’ plan ... “Communism is kind of fun.”

We are in LA County. A church acquaintance who works for the City/ non-medical/ just getting the word out - called on Friday. As we talked she broke down sobbing - ‘It is so terrible. NOBODY WILL COMPLY.” hahah. I talked her down, without mentioning that I would never ever wear a mask and I was part of ReOpenCalifornia.

We still laugh - ‘they will not comply.’ I said - “It’s pretty hard to make people do anything, even in your own family, don’t you find??” ‘Well, yes.”

He was elected to lead. He needs to put on his big boy pants and lead.

FDR was a total screw-up on the economy. But he was a leader and he lead us through a depression and a war.

Telling residents “this is the worst it’s ever been,” Garcetti choked up as he said: “Our city is under attack. Our daily life is unrecognizable.
____________________________________________________
I didn’t quickly find the LA City statistics but here are the statistics for LA County as of yesterday.

Current hospitalizations:
Positive COVID 1,709
Suspected COVID 596
Total current hospitalizations: 2,305

Total positive cases:11,984
Total deaths 576

The current population of Los Angeles in 2020 is 12,447,000

This is where the worst it’s every been quote comes from.

“Our City revenues have plummeted. Hotel reservations have collapsed. After 9/11, our airport closed for two and a half days, passenger traffic fell by as much as a third that month, and it took 10 years to claw our way back. Today airport passenger traffic is down 95%.

From a fiscal perspective, this is the worst it’s ever been.”

And the horror of horrors, city workers are being furloughed for 26 days over the next year. That comes out to 1 day per pay period; a 10% pay cut. I’m sure that will generate a lot of sympathy from those who have already been out of work for a month with no end in sight.
