n Earth Day reckoning? Greenies panicking over the discrediting of computer models predicting disaster

We have learned the hard way that the scientists who produce mathematical models predicting disaster are not to be granted the presumption of infallibility. Nor are their demands that we impoverish ourselves in order to avert a disaster a matter of "settled science." The coronavirus doom that the Cassandras of prestigious scientific organs predicted is nowhere to be found, and it turns out that models are based on assumptions and can be spectacularly wrong.

Americans have sacrificed trillions of dollars and turned our lives upside-down based on predictions of millions of deaths if we didn't follow radically change our way of life, based on the pandemic predictions of modelers in the U.K. and USA.

How embarrassing for the modelers that tell us we have to make even deeper sacrifices for a global warming disaster that is decades away, if it ever develops. You can smell their panic in this planned propaganda blitz from the Olympian heights of the media establishment. Chris White of the Daily Caller News Foundation writes:

First of all, if the erf has somehow managed to cleanse itself so well in the past few weeks, just how bad was the environment to begin with ecowankers?

Second of all, to some folks this is happy marijuana day. Especially in Denver. Will there be a YUGE 4/20 gathering to celebrate pot legalization as last year?

And third, to make the week even more awesomer, Wednesday is erf day. Guess it'll be a lot easier for cities to "go dark" this year.

Anyway, wouldn't it be awesome if the charts and projections the ecowankers cobble together were cast aside as easily as the pandemic charts and projection? Or if they actually faced the same scrutiny? Good luck with that. Settled science don't you know. Good thing I got plenty of gas to leave the Hemi idling in the drive way on Wednesday.

Gee, was it the same programmer who wrote the pandemic models?

Fake people concerned with fake problems. I’ve heard all I’m going to hear from eco-weenies.

I’d say China messed up the environment better than anyone else ever. Are they mad at China? Nope.

I bet some enviro extremisits are sad, as this is the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, but with lockdown, they can’t have their planned public marches, celebrations, etc.

There will be less pollution from the mess these eco-wacos usually leave then.

I will be doing what I do every earth day, burning a couple of YUGE piles of tree cuttings, brush, and maybe a couple of old tires.

"It appears that we were wrong about every one of our 18 previous estimates,” Fauci said at the daily press conference. “But we’re pretty sure we got it right this time.”

I didn't watch but did the clown say this with a straight face?

I can't imagine ANYONE not being able to see how ridiculous this whole "modeling" line of chit is.

"Cassandras of prestigious scientific organs...."

Cassandra was cursed to always make truthful predictions; but never be believed. That's the exact opposite of the case the author is making. If you're going to attempt to impress your readers with classical allusions, you should at least get them right.

Environmentalists are already crooning, “Look, see how these restrictions help the Earth heal. We need to do more of this. Give us this power, we have a bigger crisis. Just believe OUR biased computer models.”

Worse. The East Anglia Climate Research Units leaked emails already prove how they tortured the data to fit their assumptions rather than adjusting their models based on real world data. For example, they show a flat or slight warming trend in decades where things slightly cooled. Run the model backward, and you get a deep ice age in the 1800s.
