Protesters from all over the country assembled over the last few days to voice their displeasure to stay-at-home orders as economic conditions deteriorate. Despite decrees from their governors to stay at home, Americans organized protests demanding an end to the coronavirus lockdown.

Over the past week, protests have erupted across the country — from California to Colorado to Texas to Michigan to Ohio to New Jersey. Residents from blue states and red states have demonstrated their desire to get out of their homes and return to their jobs.

Wherever the lockdown goes past April, well, “Annie get your gun”.

Yup. That is almost 2 weeks out, at which time most people are going to be good and tired of the lockdown.

The restaurant I’m in front of closed on its own accord long before the governor’s stay at home order.

Only a vaccine will enable business to get on track.

Arm!

Alcohol wipe!

This won’t hurt much!

Next!

No FDA delays please.

Good news! The purpose of the lockdown was to slow the infection rate so the healthcare system didn’t get overwhelmed. Mission accomplished.

I would not be surprised if 50% of the restaurants in this country are out of business by the time this is over. The revenue they’ve already lost is only part of the problem. The massive decline in discretionary income among their customers is going to be the real death knell for these places.

Vaccines take a year to develop. No thanks on rushing it . Maybe those at risk should just stay home for now and let us get to work .

>GREAT!<

My sentiments exactly.

Around here, people are just disregarding the BS.

Traffic is getting back to normal and a lot more people out and about.

Don’t kid yourself. Most people are not business owners, and seem to have a disturbing idea that this can go on indefinitely without having them suffer much financially.

BINGO!

I predict that this week it shall begin.

How about Nancy Pelosi telling us we need to shelter in place while she displays her huge freezer and expensive ice cream?

How about that awful, awful Michigan woman, banning us from buying paint?

THESE PEOPLE DO NOT OWN US!

I predict that this first week people will start to go out, careful, face masks, keeping distance.

The days will go on and more and more and more and more will get out and about. At first some stupid law people will arrest a man playing ball with his little girl, handcuff some people on horses, pull surfers too close outta da water.

These actions will only make us madder.

More and more and more and more....

WHAT THEY GONNA DO? PUT 325 MILLION OF US IN JAIL???

The elites have power but no common sense. WE have the common sense as we are the common people.

We have been good, we closed ourselves in, we didn’t do too much killing or cussing.

But we’re tired of it. WE ARE TIRED OF IT!!!!

Come May 1 most everything in this country will open up.

Going WHERE???

I took a drive around yesterday to give my car a run. NOTHING is open that isn’t a pharmacy or grocery store. Where are these people going??

You can be out and about all you want, but if you’ve got nowhere to go, what’s the point?

Around here: Liquor Stores and Restaurants are available for curbside pickup

Home Depot is open
Pharmacies
Grocery stores

All these three limiting people in and you must have gloves and mask to enter. That’s it!

Yeah, I’ve been saying since late march that people will only put up with this for so long. And once states started talking about the end of April I saw that as managing expectations. That is, it was probably doable as long as people saw exactly where the light at the end of the tunnel began and ended. So plenty of people accepted this for that cutoff. But Not all.

That is, it could explode at any time, but if a state goes past April, it certainly WILL expolode.

The interesting part is based on this: The reason anti war protests broke out during vietnam and were a bust during the Iraq war(s) is that for the latter there simply were not enough body bags. “everybody” knew at least one young man that died in the war. Not so with Iraq.

And the same here. Nobody (or very few) actually personally knows of a young person that has died of this virus. There are not enough body bags to justify the lockdown. So as a nation we are “putting up with it” until the end of April. If it continues, there will be hell to pay wherever it does.

And the “young person” vs “old person” distinction is a very big deal. I know of people who have lost an elderly loved one to this and every single one says, “well, they were already sick and dying of ‘x’ anyway.”

And it could actually come apart before the end of April, but critical mass will be much more difficult.

The whole trouble here stems back to the fact that common sense has been bred out of the population. Even more so in the guberment personal.

That’s why they’re releasing the criminals. It’s to make room for the conservatives.

We’re opening the beaches here in NE Fla. Limiting times and activities. So far do good. Apparently people aren’t as stooopid as some lib politicians think. :^D

I took a drive around yesterday to give my car a run. NOTHING is open that isn’t a pharmacy or grocery store. Where are these people going??

We took a drive yesterday as well. We passed an old bar and noticed the parking lot was packed full of kids. Turns out they were having one of those impromptu "car shows" where they had their jacked up Mustangs and such, hoods popped, etc.

About 10 seconds after we drove by, we saw a cop coming in the other direction. We wondered if he was going to bust up the gathering. The wife hung a U at the next street and we headed back. By the time we got there (less than 5 minutes after we originally passed it), the entire show was gone. Only two cars and a few kids left in the lot. The cop was parked across the street. It was gone lightning fast.

We turned around again and the wife mentioned that if she were the kids, she would have had a backup spot ready to go and the old closed down KMart a half mile down the road would be perfect. Sure enough, as we passed the old KMart, there they were.

There was also a cop in that parking lot, but it appears he was content to simply observe and make sure things stayed relatively peaceful. My guess was the cops possibly told the kids to move out of the relatively small bar parking lot and perhaps even suggested the KMart lot which allowed them to be a bit more spread out.

Love our Sunday drives.
