A very poorly written or deliberately misleading article! It was a German newspaper that put the “invoice” together not the German government. For the German government to do it would require far more scrotal material then they’ve displayed in 75 years. Maybe they will!

Anyway, this piece reports on an op-ed that was published in Bild last week. So, it’s not like Merkel suddenly grew a spine or anything. On the other hand, Bild has the highest paid circulation not just in Germany, but in Europe, and German politicians seem to read it and react to the editorials it publishes.

So it’s not much, but it’s not nothing, either.

Anger is going to continue to build for the next several months, I think. CCP’s going to have to figure out a response.
