This is what drives me crazy. No 40,000 is not a lot of people considering we know nothing about them. I mean if 40,000 were killed in a bombing that’s one thing. Those are deaths that would not happen save for the bomb. In this instance we nothing of these 40k How many were already deathly ill, would have been dead within the year anyway actually died directly from Wuhan and not Cancer or heart disease etc, without complete info the number of dead is meaningless. The damn economic devastation is clear as damn bell however! This shutdown has the biggest nuclear bomb ever detonated
I thought all of this was about flattening the curve to keep Hospitals overrun btw. Now apparently its an effort to keep anybody from getting the Wuhan, which is a fool’s errand and will irreparably destroy our economy
Wow. I was a flubra before your post.
Now I am a Hard Core Militant Flubra.

“I understand. I do care.”
Well... I CARE, but I don’t worry or obsess.
The last few days of that graph are subject to revision (upwards) as new reports come in, but, yes, it does look like NYC has gotten past the worst.
I know what you’re saying RE the 40,000. The death toll has been twisted so much by the many factions involved...primarily the liberals trying to convert deaths-to-dollars or deaths-to-”dump Trump”. The normal flu death count estimate for 2019 is in the 30,000+ range, and few are talking about that. I suspect that even some normal flu deaths are being counted as coronavirus for the financial or political advantages. So, will we ever really know the true coronavirus deaths? I doubt it.
The one good thing as far as the economy...the Dow has risen back up to around 24,000. SOMEBODY has confidence the economy will come back strong and healthy. I hope they’re right.
