Agreed
Oops, I am wrong, you are an anesthesiologist. Anyway, I thought you were a gastroenterologist. But thank you for your insight in this thread.
It’s a shame that so many FReepers insist on beating one another bloody with these numbers without even thinking about the source.
That’s all I’m saying.
I am a gas passer — guilty as charged. Cardia anesthesiologist with critical care board certification. I am more of an intensivist than an anesthesiologt now, but I still pump gas once in a while.
The truth seems to be ignored when it is against a particular world view
Maybe having been through it before helps. Im glad some calm heads are around and thank you for your kind words
Yeah, I get it.
an NBC News/WSJ poll!!!

right up there with the covid pandemic models!
Are you still wanting people to die?
Damn shame.
Bravo!
We held a rally on the Market Street Bridge in Chattanooga to protest the draconian measures that our state and local governments have taken (essentially, the lockdown). Now our state isn't as bad as some - I'd hate to live in Michigan, NY, or PA - but there are a ton of people out of work right now, and many of the small businesses - restaurants, bars, hotels, etc, will not be re-opening any time soon and possibly never.
I don't want anyone to die.
I want people to take this seriously, so that the lock downs work and the mitigation efforts after the lock downs work.
What I'm seeing instead are:
They are going to get people killed and that's why I post the things I do, in order to educate them.
Yes, but you are still ‘free’ to choose alternatives until your ‘desired options’ are available. You can join in a church service via the Internet....and a weather event could also prevent traveling for a big birthday party so you either delay it or go skype. Sports events are still on TV....
We are a spoiled nation and one that is accustomed to having and doing at will and leisure. Our expectations are equally as high and we don't like to have things interrupt our plans. ....I truly feel badly for business people and their employees...everybody is hanging on and some not able to.
... But I do believe in a God who shows the way even in loss. I had to learn there are particular significant things in life you can only learn through loss....I would not change that period of life for anything today.
Absolutely God can redeem times in the desert. However most of what we are going through now is one giant self inflicted injury. As I said I miss the life events I am missing including not being able to be there for my granddaughters birth, but others are facing life altering circumstances for little or no reason. My heart goes out to them
Me too, but I've never rendered anyone unconscious. I have influenced people to leave the area though.
I turned pro...
Fake poll ... Another try to defeat President Trump...
LOL
Mine's flammable, or so I've heard...
The reason is simple.
We’ve had one whole month of fear-mongering and false data and projections by the media!
DUH!
What’s your point? I thought this was about preventing death. Are some deaths more important than others? Is the 18 year old who gets killed in a car accident less important than the 49 year old dying of the China flu? Driving isn’t even a “ right” so in your opinion shouldn’t we be restricting it to just essential travel Permanently?
