China has long dreamed of being the dominant power on the planet. Until recently, it seemed well on the way to succeeding, with the stamp “Made in China” appearing on nearly a third of the world’s manufactured goods.
What a difference a pandemic makes.
On Friday, Chinese officials said their country’s economy shrank by 6.8 percent from January to March 2020, compared with one year ago.
The “China Dream” of dictator Xi Jinping is now on life support, in grave danger of succumbing to the same novel coronavirus that he and his fellow communists have unleashed upon the world.
I say we turn off the ventilator.
This sentiment seems to be even more infectious than the disease itself. A Harris poll released on April 6 found that 77 percent of the US population believes China is to blame for the pandemic. Before this thing has run its course, most of the world’s seven-plus billion people will likely agree as well.

People like Bill Clinton believed that capitalist activity would change political realities in China. It didn’t. Some think poverty, unemployment, hunger and social unrest will do the trick. Doubt it. It will make war more likely. The world caught a break when the Soviet Union collapsed. One day Gorbochev’s role will be honored and studied. There is no comparable figure in China. These are indeed interesting times.

San Francisco is 1/3 Asian, virtually all Chinese. The last mayor sued his way into power using the Asian American Legal Defense and Education organization.

Don’t BS yourself. That’s what he said, but it was just a sales pitch. He never had any problem with a fascist China ruled by the Communist gangster party. He was just jealous.

Yesterday I read an article announcing that the current drought on the Mekong, which turned that mighty river into a small stream and is threatening the livelihood of Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, was caused by Chinese dams near the source of the river. Evidently China is hoarding the waters of the Mekong, keeping them for itself.
We’ve seen the game plan. When China suffers, they will just make others suffer MORE.
I heard that Chinese don’t traditionally eat gross stuff like bats, rats, dogs, and cats. That came about because Mao Tse Tung’s Chicoms initiated nationwide famine (that killed 65,000,000 between 1949 and 1976). Before the Chicom takeover, the Chinese ate meats like chicken, cattle, sheep, and fish.

As long as the Chinese money kept flowing to the Clintons they didn’t care about the long term consequences.
I failed to think about how this pandemic might affect China. This is a very interesting article.
