President Donald Trump announced that three more states will begin a phased reopening process on May 1 after meeting the requirements for decreasing cases of COVID-19.
The governors of Ohio, North Dakota and Idaho all intend to begin the process. Reopening will occur in three phases for each state according to the severity of their outbreaks. Minnesota began relaxing distancing guidelines on Friday, but states with the most critical outbreaks like New York, New Jersey and Louisiana may take much longer to reach phase one.

I didn’t realize they were ever closed. But interesting!
12 DAYS AWAY!!! OMG!!
This is now "flattening the curve" was sold. Let's do it.
Too darn slow and timid. It’s not going to do anything the massive new joblessness which may very well have hit 35 million by the end of April.
Ohio has been locked down for a month or more.
There were nearly an all-time record number of new coronavirus cases yesterday.
27,000 nationally.
That is down. But just a bit.
Everyone, keep an eye on the new cases, number, while talking about re-opening.
New American cases, are still (very) high.
Here in Idaho we started on March 21 with the distancing and restaurants and bar closures. Most folks are trying but we are still pretty loose. The hot spots are Sun Valley and Boise. Big money and lots of travel. Go figure, I think the HCQ+ Zepac+ zinc is being used. We are farming and planting. Hope we get this crap killed.
It's ridiculous. President Trump is frittering away his presidency because of Fauci and Birx. He just doesn't seem to get it.
I was going to ask you where you get these pictures from and then I noticed the manufacturer’s logo on the economy gauge:)
I’m doing wiring & switches & meters & tubing gauges on my project boat today. What a rats nest. I have to make my bezels, consoles etc. Every time I finish a section I find I have a lot more complicated stuff to do.
One state that will not be on the list will be South Dakota. Their governor never instituted mandatory lockdown for her state. She’s a Constitutionalist and issued guidelines for the people of her state to follow but, refused to close businesses or mandate stay at home.
She asked her people to take a commonsense approach to the virus and left it at that. For which she was subjected to howls of outrage by the Left.
All I had to do was snatch images from google!
I feel your pain! I have a “kill” button on my 30 year old Perkins Diesel panel I have to hit with a sledgehammer.
Meanwhile Granny Ivey in Alabama is dragging her feet.
The more important metric is hospitalizations and ICU patients, because these are better indicators of the severity of the problem.
Its the GOVERNORS that rule their states, not Trump!
Not the kinda economic powerhouses we are looking for. WTF is Texas
The DNC is already working on the Biden ads which will list every COVID-19 patient by name and label them as Trump murder victims.
Putting those two doctors on the national stage to explain all of this actually gives Trump a lot of political cover here ... because very few undecided voters would blame someone for listening to the advice of prominent doctors.
It's worth noting that as of yesterday, the U.S. stock market has recovered more than half its losses since the meltdown began. I take that as a very good sign that a lot of smart people have some optimism about the coming weeks and months.
Only the goober mint offices here in Boundary county Idaho are closed, and some restaurants, I think. Maybe other stuff, but its not noticeable. Most people here prefer the goober mint to stay closed.
3 states and not for two weeks. Trump is putting to much value in having Dr Doom and Deborah for cover. It’s as bad that coward Abbot in Texas. I think two of the three weren’t even in lockdown which would make it one. The GOP Governors could be leading the way in showing how to open Businesses while still using the guidelines but no they are making Trump do all the heavy lifting. We cannot go like this another month.
