It won’t matter if Trump opens the country up tomorrow. The CARES act will insure the economy will tank until 7/31.
I own a grocery store. I need 6-10 more employees right now.
I can pay them (depending on the job) $450-$700 per week.
The governments (state and local) are giving each person $1100 per week
$480 from the state $600 from the CARES act. Who are on unemployment.
I have advertised the openings, I have posted them at the unemployment agency. I have gotten 3 request for applications and ZERO have return said application.
I will not be able to hire anyone until August 1st.
So grocery stockers, gas stations cashiers, busboys, truckers, fast food drive through workers. have to be paid $21-25 per hour in order to get them off of unemployment. Not going to happen!
The CARES act will put me out of business (and thousands of others). Not the virus. And we do not have one covid case in the county.
All government money puts businesses out of business...except for the businesses guaranteed to launder a porton of the government money back to those in power.

damn, that stinks; very depressing to hear things like that; damn governors who issue one size fits all lockdowns...
