The presidency of Donald Trump has been a historic one on many levels. Candidate Trump, the ultimate political outsider, defeated a powerful entrenched career politician to capture the White House when no one said it was possible. The president then stormed into Washington and exposed the Russia hoax and a corrupt deep state that spied on his campaign.
And while dealing with relentless attacks from the liberal media, his pro-growth economic policies and supreme confidence in the American worker ushered in one of the greatest economic booms in our nation’s history. Then, being faced with the prospects of heading into an election year with record low unemployment and historic job creation and no positive agenda of their own, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and her lapdog Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., concocted a political tall tale about a routine phone call between President Trump and the president of Ukraine. This shameful impeachment stunt blew up in their faces.
It’s now been nearly five years since Trump came down the golden escalator. Since that day, the biased liberal media made the decision to destroy him. Sadly, that effort continues today with their coverage of Trump’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now there's always been bias in the media, but this president has exposed it in a way no one else could have. The liberal media’s hatred for Trump has made it plainly obvious that many so-called journalists who cover him are political activists. This is why the president battles the news media on a daily basis.

2,200,000 deaths EVERY YEAR in USA. Includes auto accidents, drug overdose, smoking, alcohol abuse, obesity causing heart attacks and diabetes, cancer, influenza, etc.
But there is ZERO panic over 2.2 million deaths year after year. But 33,000 deaths from covid (mostly very old people, advanced diabetes, on chemo therapy, heart disease and other existing health problems) and the whole country is shut down?
2,200,000 deaths no problem. 32,000 deaths big problem!!
We average about 40K deaths in auto accidents with over 2 million suffering injuries that affect them for a lifetime - but convenience makes it OK to not drop the speed limit to 25MPH...
We'll never really know how many more deaths may have occurred w/o the draconian actions but the Left will try to keep things closed as an opportunity to put more of the People under Federal Government thumbs...like their proposal to give everyone a $2K monthly stipend...using drug dealer tactics to get the People who were so well employed addicted to handouts.
If we don't maintain the WH and hopefully gain control of both Houses, we may be finished as a FRee Nation.

China is also shipping the US opioids and Fentonyl contributing to some of the other deaths you mention, along with this virus.

But you missed my main point as well....
Between 2 and 2.5 MILLION DEATHS EVERY YEAR, many due to abuse by people (such as over-eating, over-drinking, drugs, smoking, texting while driving etc) but no one wants to shut down those people much less the whole country.
But a virus killing people with serious existing health issues, shut down the economy. 3rd try by the democrats to remove Trump. They can’t stand Trump because he defeated their best candidate, Hillary. And they know they can defeat any other republican more easily. So they hate Trump and this is the 3rd strike.
We know a woman, whose mother recently died in a nursing home in New Jersey with a CV diagnosis.
What she doesn’t say, but her husband and adult daughter told us about the life style and physical condition of the poor woman, who just died.
She was in her 80’s and smoked until about 3 years ago.
Due to the smoking her lungs were severely damaged. She would have to go from the nursing home to the local hospital about twice a year with pneumonia. She basically was in her bed 24/7.
The projected mortality in the US for 2020 is just over 8,000 per day from all causes. This virus might add 50,000 total for a 1.7% increase. Then again it might not, as the oldsters who would have departed this year went early.
I do get your comparison of deaths, “natural” deaths. You are not the first to make it.
Let me diverge here, briefly, to ask, in “natural” deaths we accept so casually, the 61,000 dead from the 2017-2018 flu? This is about 3 times “normal” and represents an incompetence of the CDC and NIH that we appear only now to be concerned with.
I think that where the OP differs from what you repeat is that, as I mentioned, these were attacks on the US.
Things are only now being discussed about the origins of this virus that, I expect, the President already knew.
We committed to WWII over far less deaths than this.
People die of cancer when they’re a hundred years old. Of course there’s no ‘panic’ when death happens from cancer, heath attacks, dying in your sleep... etc.
What we’re talking about here was the release of a bioweapon by the psychopaths running the hellhole called ‘China’...

Most cancer patients are not 100 years old. My wife was diagnosed with stage-4 cancer at age 63. I go with her to the clinic every 3 weeks for her chemo treatments. I see dozens of cancer patients there. There is no one over 85 that I have seen.
But of course you must exaggerate the number to make a fake point.
China is a dictatorship, and why anyone expects China to be benevolent regime? So kudos to PDJT for banning travelers from infected parts of China. Bushes and Reagan would never have done it. They actually helped China get powerful by encouraging China to join WTO.
If covid-19 is a bio-weapon, China needs to do better research. This “powerful” bio-weapon is mainly killing super-seniors WITH EXISTING SERIOUS HEALTH ISSUES. 50% of younger folks under 60 who tested positive did not even know they had the virus infection because it was so mild.
The Chinese aren’t fools. They didn’t invent a bioweapon to give people a mild case of the flu.
YOU believe China spent billions developing and stealing information to create a weapon that doesn’t function as a weapon? You’re gullible beyond words.
My guess is the second time this flu sweeps through the country - in the fall... it’ll treat the people with early ‘mild’ cases like they’re old with underlying conditions. That’s the ‘weapon’ part... We’re being set up now.
They are not the only ones who desire a method to select people to die on cue. This virus is likely doing exactly what they want whether by design or accident, they like it.
You live in a fantasy world. China has nothing to gain by killing old Americans. It actually helps USA by reducing Medicare expenses and helps reduce social security shortfalls. Why would China want to make a competitor stronger? Get out of that fantasy bubble and think rationally.
But if covid-19 was designed to kill only seniors with health issues, it does help China economy by reducing the overhead. China wants to win by becoming number 1 economy without having to fire a single bullet.
Finally the 60,000 estimated deaths from covid-19 this year are minuscule compared to 2.5 million American deaths EVERY YEAR.

I think that you are right that Trump doesn’t want or need war. The “Neocons” hold no sway with him. I was originally not a supporter of him, because I didn’t know him, and was, in fact, completely wrong about who he appears to be.
I think he understands business (and life) like few do. There absolutely are business deals where BOTH sides come out ahead, and in fact, those are the only ones worth getting into.
Having said that, it appears to be a minority viewpoint. China is showing us, now, how they do not share it.
Trump is tough, I believe. I hope he is tough enough for what lies ahead. It appears that he is completely alone, with those who voted for him, in wanting a better America.
