Uh, we keep reading and hearing about hospitals having to lay off personnel. Very few appear to be really overloaded.
Something smells like liberal media here. And the smell is very bad.
This was done weeks ago in MA.
It was a update to the existing Pandemic plans. They are plans, and at this time there are no bed shortages in most of the state, no shortage of ventilators. And there are no plans for any hospitals to implement these plans.
Its called triage.
Instead of terrorist attacks causing mass casualties being brought in, its sick people.
If the hospitals/SNF didn’t plan, everyone would be up in arms about the arbitrary application of who gets vents and who doesn’t.
This is fear mongering at its worst—because they make it sound ominous for doing it, and would rail against them if they didn’t.
How old is this? I’m seeing videos of nurses doing coordinating dance moves in hospitals because things are so slow. Other posts about them being laid off. There aren’t that many New York’s from what we’re seeing. California has apparently been dealing with this since last Fall...and has nowhere near the numbers of New York. What hospitals are in danger of being over-run? Inquiring minds want to know.
Having worked in healthcare for 20+ years...and being old enough to remember 30 cent a gallon gas...I'm not sure I have a huge problem with this.
For example: sinking ship,the last lifeboat is about to pull away...there are three people left aboard,me,a 12 year old kid and the Captain.The lifeboat has room for *one* more.I'd have no problem with the Captain ordering that the 12 year get that seat.
Of course some may disagree....
Well then, we have extra ventilators in New York and still have some available on the national level.
We have ton of ventilators coming out of the factories next month. We will be able to take care of the USA and other friendly nations.
Just an article to keep people scared.
I have an ideal try using hydroxychloroquine before they require a ventilator. That could cut the number of people requiring a ventilator in half..
The Captain has a duty to have anyone left on his ship take available places on the lifeboat. That includes 100 year olds.
The whole point of spending Trillions of dollars was to prevent hospitals from becoming overloaded. Overlake Hospital was the first hospital in the country to have “Covid 19” deaths. They were busy but not overloaded for 3 weeks. Then things cleared out and they ate now giving away the massive amount of supplies they received to other hospitals and agencies. The emergency hospital set up in Seattle was shut down because they had no patients. The quarantine center set up in Everett because they had only 3 people and not all at the same time.
Are Americans really going to keep buying into this massive disinformation campaign?

In Santa Clara County, CA we have 73% of Ventilators idle(good)
In most of these stories about the woes of not having a treatment for the Red Plague there is no mention of the use of HCQ+Zinc.
With those on ventilators dying 80% of the time, that doesn’t sound like a “life-saving strategy.”
But if the two of us had gotten on that last lifeboat it would have sunk...killing everyone on board.
40 - 60%, Yes. Democrats and mushy independents.
Because by the time they are admitted, its not appropriate.
Boy, you guys think everyone should be taking that like candy. Its not appropriate in every setting—either because of morbidities or drug interaction. And the folks making it INTO the hospital are pretty far gone.
The hospitals are made up of very conscientious doctors who are ONLY concerned about saving patients. You guys make it sound like they are all anti-Trumpers who spend them time making medical decisions based on their politics.
Those conspiracy nuts really need to stop listening to Rush and trump and leave patient care to the people who do this for a living. Its being prescribed when appropriate. The ONLY people who give a shit are the HCQ nuts who do not understand how any of this works.
The captain should not get on if his presence would sink the boat. He has duty to save passengers.
I can save them a lot of effort - they’ll choose to save medical personel, liberal elites, and young people. The people they’ll let die are conservatives and the old.
Yup,as I said...three people,one seat on the lifeboat,the Captain orders that the 12 year old gets that seat...not me,and not him.
