'Operation Gridlock': Convoy in Michigan's capital protests stay-at-home orders
ABC News ^ | 4/15/20 | Bill Hutchinson

For three decades, Meshawn Maddock and her family have run A-1 Bail Bonds in Milford, Michigan. But just a few days ago, she said she was forced to lay off her last three employees due to courts being shuttered and jails being emptied to blunt the spread of coronavirus in the hard-hit state.

Instead of staying in her house, adhering to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's stay-at-home orders, Maddock drove 60 miles from her residence to Lansing, the state capitol, to join a convoy of motorists Wednesday afternoon protesting the governor's pandemic directive and calling on state leaders to allow small businesses to reopen so employees can get back to work.

Michigan has a mojority Republican legislature. They approved giving half-Whitmer the authority to perpetrate her crimes during this thing. As usual, the Republicans are not only complicit but just as guilty for any excesses Michiganders now endure. And it’s exactly this kind of repeated failure by the Republicans that create the conditions for a beast like half-Whitmer to get elected in the first place. In Michigan, there ain’t a dime’s worth of difference between either political party, just like in Mexifornia or New Yawk.

I got as far as Pennsylvania and Michigan Ave. I concur. And the crowd was orderly. Traffic was jammed, but in one direction each way only. Drivers were well mannered and and waved and honked at each other and at those on the street who offered support (and there were very many who did).

If fact, when traffic came to a complete standstill, I took advantage and did some apartment hunting as H.E. Pennypacker.

The bottom line for this event and Gestapo Gretchen:

Thousands of Michiganders went to show/tell their governor their real, deep concerns about their dead jobs and economy.

Gestapo Gretchen replied by verbally spanking them.

Nobody would be playing golf in this weather. Not even the fairways and greens, etc. should be mowed in these conditions! However, it’s the principle involved here, and if all she has are her models of ‘novel’ prediction(s) then she can give an opinion and friendly advice but leave the rest up to us. We can’t be bought like that.
