You would think that the mention of Play Store would be a hint.

Why build an api without a design and test build for a client app. Who will buy me lunch when we find out that an Android update adds this to the core set of “tools”. Other countries have already requested this and they are tracking all android users. I belive it naive to assume they would not load it for those who are not paying attention. We know the politics and dreams of Google, Microsoft, Apple, Comcast, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. Social media giants.

This is not tinfoil hat territory.
We can pretend this is not the world we live in or we can probe and test obvious threats to our privacy and liberties. I’m in Michigan and do not trust anything government or socials claim - they have not earned my trust and have a long way to go to do so.
