April 15 (UPI) -- The IRS rolled out a new tool Wednesday that allows Americans to check the status of their stimulus payments, and tens of millions are expected to have their money by the end of the day.
The agency launched the "Get My Payment" web page, where Americans can track their payments by entering tax return information for either 2018 or 2019.
The U.S. Treasury began depositing the payments electronically last Friday. The first recipients are eligible U.S. taxpayers who filed a tax return for either of the last two years. For those, the funds will automatically appear in their bank accounts for the next few weeks.

Same message here... can’t determine my eligibility.
You only need to submit bank information if you want a direct deposit which presumably will arrive sooner. If you are willing to wait to receive a paper check with that best signature on it then you don’t have to provide any bank info or do anything else other than wait.
Now tells me I am eligible...and will update as soon as my payment date is available.
that’s the same response I got, no idea what it means.
i’ve been receiving ss checks for 7 years direct deposited.
Also filed and got refund in 2018, 2019 not filed yet. Got direct deposit today for wife and myself. My single son and married daughter also got their direct deposits. Really helped our daughter, whose husband’s business is closed due to the shutdown.
Clicked the button. Had to write SS number, date of birth, address and zip code. Clicked the button...and it said “no information.”
Checked site and got -no information.
Went and checked our bank account, and there it was—deposit from IRS as Tax Relief!
That is quick!! Trump gets it DONE!!!!!!!!
Mmmm. Taylor’s Ham. I have a source in MO.
But why do you need to submit your bank information if the President is going to put his signature on checks being sent out?

Well, it’s not his REAL signature, of course... and if I deposit it I won’t even have THAT anymore.
I do have his signature, by the way, on a copy of “Crippled America” I bought when the primaries began.
Not to worry. You will take your hit on next year’s filing. Enjoy!
I thought they were going to send a letter.
FWIW... I did read that they would use your 2019 bank account info from your income tax filing if that’s available, then go back to 2018. I don’t have any other payments from the Fed and did paper in 2018, electronic w/ bank accounts for 2019 returns. Good timing I guess.
But OTOH a check with Donald J Trump on the memo line would be neat.
Me too.
Thanks for sharing.
I bet it means the system is *overwhelmed. Maybe check later tonight.
*I hope for your sake.
So is mine. Too many people checking to see if their $$ showed up. I could not go online, bu everything was okay at the bank.
Overwhelmed. Course my $$ is not there yet.
Its a stimulus check. They want you to spend that money on books, barbers, restaurants, etc., getting the cash into circulation.
They will go by 2018 and you will lose money.
What if we filed joint return and we need to put in our bank information which Social Security number do you use or do you have to do it separately for each one of you?
