I repeatedly said the demographics were rapidly changing in the trucking industry, such that the immigrants were suppressing normal wages, chasing the American-born professional drivers out.

I work with chemicals and have seen a huge downturn in the professionalism of the drivers who deliver our acids and caustics. It seems companies will hire anyone with a license. Based purely on cost, not safety, experience, or national origin. Aviod all tankers on the road, fuel trucks too.
