“So far, subjects have been self-selected. In other words, they represent patients with symptoms sufficient to warrant a visit to a doctor or ER.”
Yep. People that are sick and see they have the classic symptoms of covid-19 will self-report and get tested.
We will never know about the ones that have it but have no symptoms and never get tested. No way to get a truly accurate count unless the government forces mandatory testing across the entire population.
However I still think the existing numbers are useful as they indicate how many people are sick enough with covid-19 to get tested.
Can the President write an EO releasing hydroxychloroquine and zinc for prescription by ANY physician in any setting? The nation could begin opening up immediately thereafter.
Won’t know the ones that went to the Dr, but didn’t get a test because there weren’t enough tests, but tested negative for the flu & strep.
