The now six-year-old boy who was thrown from a balcony at the Mall of America is celebrating his recovery a year after the incident.
In April 2019, Landen was with his mother at the Mall of America when a man "looking for someone to kill" approached Landen and threw him over the balcony, according to court documents. The nearly 40-foot fall left Landen seriously injured with a long road to recovery. Donations poured in with more than $1 million raised online.
According to family updates, Landen returned home in August and as of late November, Landen was walking "perfectly."
In June, Emmanuel Aranda pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted murder and was sentenced to 19 years in prison. While it's been a difficult journey for Landen, he told his family he "feel[s] bad" for Aranda.
On Easter Sunday, his family posted on his GoFundMe that "miracles happen," and that at this time last year, Landen was still intubated and fighting for his life.
"My family is living proof that miracles happen. One year ago today, a man tried to destroy our family. I witnessed hate and sin in the worst way a mother possibly could. The only thing I could do is cry out to Jesus," family wrote. "My hope is that you take time to reflect on whats most important. To feel Gods endless love around you with His message of hope and healing. Forgive who needs to be forgiven and know that Jesus died for you and rose again for your salvation. The message of love and hope that Jesus brought to the world is needed today more than ever. On behalf of myself and my family, we wish you and your loved ones all the Blessings of Easter."
Praise God that this child is going to make it through and have a chance at a normal life.
HOORAY Landen!
Why is Malik Nidal Hasan still ALIVE???
Mall of America is a Somali ghetto.

Correction:
When a muslim was looking for an infidel to kill for Allah.
TY Lord... God Bless this family for such a beautiful message of faith.
No. It’s not.
Yes. It did.
19 years?!?
Are you kidding me?
In June, ARDISAID MOHAMED pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted murder and was sentenced to 19 years in prison...
fixed it.
That's the B.S. insanity defense he made up to curry favor with liberals and muslim apologists, angling for a lighter PC sentence.
We was looking to pickup white women, was rebuffed by the boy's mother, which enraged him so he threw the boy over the balcony.
Muslims murder babies.
Democrats murder babies.
19 years and he’ll be out in 7 for “good behavior” as he bides his time quietly in prison. Then look out everyone when he’s released.
Once a murderous jihadist, always a murderous jihadist. He failed the first time to kill an infidel so there’s little doubt he’ll try again. I would worry if I were this family, and take extra security measures.
The question is correct, why is he still alive?
It did locally and all over the state. Thousands of us were in St. Paul attending the annual Christian homeschool conference when it happened. My friends and I prayed immediately and often for him; Im sure many others attending were joining in prayer for him as well. It was still on the news when I returned to outstate Minnesota.
Absolutely horrific-I still get emotional thinking of what his mother witnessed.
“The question is correct, why is he still alive?”
For anyone who tries to take the life of a child especially, that’s a very good question.
But we do have to ask. I've heard it said that there are things that God does for us without our asking (gives us sunshine, rain, oxygen to breathe, just to name a few), but there are other things that he will only do for us if we ask him for them. Not that he would do anything against his nature, but if we don't ask, I would say that the chances of God doing something that he wasn't already going to do are slim to none.
In a recent sermon, I heard the pastor say that prayer is an act of worship. It is one of the ways that we acknowledge that things in life are beyond our control, and that only God can effect a change.
If he were my boy, daddy would go a-hunting in 19 years.
