Something is very wrong in Kentucky
Tennessee and Kentucky have a long common border, very similar demographics, topology, and heritage and yet Tennessee has very stable US state governmental financial statistics, and Kentucky has one of the worst. It has become the Illinois of the South.

Good to know. When we considered places to retire, Tennessee kept rising to the top of our list. Then it all worked out to do exactly that. Happy here!

Between WA, PA, MI, and NJ, this would be a hotly contested race for the bottom.
Seedlings for fruit and vegetable plants are EBT eligible. There are people who receive government assistance for food that take advantage of this to help their (and ultimately our) dollars stretch a little further.
It’s putting some poor at risk of not eating healthy later in the year.
