Reading the tweet and Fauci’s comments I agree with your assessment. CNN picked apart Fauci’s comments to make it appear he was criticizing the President. Fake News to gain headlines and attention while trying to divide Trump and Fauci.
It was subtle. Fauci clearly said “there was a lot of push back then”. So if tou check all Trumps tweets he tweeted/retweeted Fauci and Deanna Lorraine. She is running against pelosi. And Trump knew what he was retweeting. Hes playing 4D chess again. Putting everyones words right where they can he seen.

I agree. I saw the context in which he made his remarks. Objectively, if Trump had acted sooner we would have had a better result but that’s true of ANY decision taken by a leader. Something can ALWAYS be done sooner. In this case, Trump is golden because all of the “sooner” people were acting like Covid and his response were not needed. I give Fauci a pass on this one.
