It makes no sense that government demand that families be sequestered and then say “in-person instruction for pupils in kindergarten through grade 12 … is suspended for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.”
Using that time for teaching would be the logical course of action.

A governor cannot claim any such authority. The EO is void on its face.
Allowing such an EO to go into affect would also validate any future Governors/state EO that claims the authority to regulate ALL public school aged children, under the guise of “education” in controlling any of their activity during the hours of public schooling, public or private!
She did not ban homeschooling. Some homeschooling advocates are pretending that it bans homeschooling to try and make some political point.

In the Catholic Teaching it is a parental responsibility to educate their kids. Education -meaning at least overseeing what the heck the kids are being taught. When the state interferes with homeschooling, the system has tipped over.
WOW, forget public office, this governor (like many others), is at total, full-on, unchecked WAR, to utterly destroy the U.S. Constitution and the Michigan Constitution.
While it won’t happen, in all reality (in writ and principle), she needs to be locked up, or suffer the prescribed judgement of one who is guilty of treason, as she is proactively seeking total destruction of the Constitution, while actively seeking to enslave the citizens to her supreme control!

Wait until President Trump finds out, left-wing governors across America are not going to lift the already illegal “lock-down”, so they can really wipe out his economy, while they create a monstrous, never before imagined constitutional crisis.
The lock-downs, and details of their lock-downs, are already done largely on the various governors orders, andbin reality already not Constitutional.
Already in both beliefs and nature, left-wing politicians and governors don’t have moral boundaries, and are anti-American global socialists.

Will Michigan taxpayers be refunded for their education expenses or will she confiscate the money to fix the roads and/or other pet projects? Are education staff members still getting full pay and benefits?
