Taxpayer-funded animal experiments tied to Chinese 'wet markets' and Wuhan laboratory

Taxpayers have unwittingly funded the same "wet markets" and laboratory in China that lawmakers are turning their attention to during the coronavirus pandemic.

As recently as 2015, the Department of Agriculture purchased live animals, such as cats and dogs, with U.S. tax dollars at Chinese meat markets similar to the one in Wuhan, which has been tied to early cases of COVID-19. The department also paid for the animals to be slaughtered and transported back to the United States for experiments in which their remains were fed to other animals.

One study involved feeding the body parts of euthanized cats from the markets to kittens in a project that taxpayer watchdog White Coat Waste Project called "kitten cannibalism." The experiments were intended to study a parasite that causes the foodborne illness toxoplasmosis and cost $22 million over several years before getting shut down in 2019.

As the world continues to combat the coronavirus, Congress has turned attention to such markets in China, which have reportedly reopened, despite the USDA having bought animals from them. A bipartisan group of lawmakers on Wednesday called on the world’s leading health groups to push for a global ban on these "wet markets" after reports that the coronavirus may have come "from a zoonotic source" in Wuhan.

"In order to help prevent the next pandemic, we write today to urge your organizations to take aggressive action toward a global shut down of live wildlife markets and a ban on the international trade of live wildlife that is not intended for conservation purposes,” the group urged.

Some members of Congress have also speculated the novel coronavirus originated from an accidental lab escape from China's biosafety level 4 superlaboratory that the U.S. government also funded.

The National Institutes of Health has authorized two animal testing labs at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which researches human infectious diseases just a few miles from the local market, to receive tax dollars for animal experiments. Some of this research included coronavirus studies involving bats that some legislators have theorized could have been a catalyst for the outbreak.

Rep. Matt Gaetz, who was instrumental in ending the USDA’s kitten experiments, told the Washington Examiner:

“I’m disgusted now to learn that, for years, the U.S. government has been funding dangerous and cruel animal experiments at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which may have contributed to the global spread of coronavirus, and research at other labs in China that have virtually no oversight from U.S. authorities. It’s unnecessary and unacceptable for American taxpayers to fund these institutions, and it has to end now.”

Please watch and share this outstanding documentary video, which goes into China’s “Unlimited Warfare” strategy in exposing Covid-19 as a deliberate bio-weapon.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bXWGxhd7ic

The first documentary movie on CCP virus,
“Tracking Down the Origin of the Wuhan Coronavirus”

The CCP virus, which originated from China, has rampaged through the world and caused more than 80,000 deaths, infecting at least 1.4 million.

The true number of deaths and infections is unknown due to the underreporting of cases from mainland China.

In the new documentary presented by The Epoch Times and NTD, Epoch Times investigative reporter Joshua Philipp takes an in-depth look at the progression of the pandemic from January to April and leads us on a journey of discovery to bring the truth behind the matter to light.

From the Huanan Seafood Market in Hubei Province to the scandals at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, from long-running experiments on viruses to military takeovers, suspicious activities arise from every corner. Through vigorous investigations and the piecing together of hidden information, the documentary will unearth a more complete understanding of the situation surrounding the rise of this pandemic.

Suspicions uncovered from official reports and publicly available information also sprouted more questions, leading to surprising findings and inquiries.

ENOUGH Frankenvirus experimentation!

ENOUGH human-chimera experimentation!

ENOUGH linkage with China!

The Communist Chinese have played their attack on the West brilliantly. They have brought the greatest, strongest country in the history of the world to its knees in less than a month ... and without firing a shot (or a missile). And there remains widespread disagreement on how long America will stay paralyzed. It's clear they know us better than we know ourselves. 26 posted on 4/4/2020, 10:28:38 AM by glennaro

Earlier this month, Tucker Carlson did a segment on the origin of the coronavirus. Carlson, who has been pretty aggressive in his coverage of the virus, pointed out a Chinese research paper (since pulled by the author) which claimed the virus could not have arisen at the Wuhan wet market because the horseshoe bats where the virus arose were not for sale at the market. In fact, the bats are not naturally found anywhere within 900 miles of the market. However, bats were being studied for viruses they carried in two labs including one just a few hundred meters from the market.

The abbreviation for Bat Soup is BS~!

Novel coronavirus cases could have been reduced by 95 percent had China responded to the outbreak just three weeks earlier than it did, a March 13 study by the University of Southampton has found.

President Xi Jinping’s: "The Yellow Peril ChiCom Wuhan Pneumonia Novel Coronavirus aka the Red Death/Mass People Killing Virus, Chinobyl#2, The Yellow Peril, CCP virus Made in China!"

The little, PIAPS-loving, commie SOB probably had a hand in developing the crap. He’s probably been on the release of it from the very start. He needs to be GONE.

Before we get our pants in a wad, let’s ask, where the experiments valid and necessary? We do animal experiments in labs in the USA all the time, for many different reasons. They often are gruesome, unfortunately. Given that this toxoplasmosis parasite is pretty common in the US and can affect human health, I hope someone in the US is looking at it. Cats appear to be a common carrier and we have plenty of cats in this country.

That said, I don’t understand why we went to the Chinese for the animals to test, I would certainly be interested in finding that out.

Same reason we manufacture a lot of things in China. That country has little labor and environmental regulations.

Likewise, they don’t have animal rights activists like we do ( all the way to
the top of Congress), and if any Chinese animal rights activist were to even dare to protest, he will soon disappear, never to be found.
