I didn’t claim to understand the explanation as to how solar minimums increase vulcanism. I nearly didn’t offer my recollection of it because I anticipated bullcrap responses. But I also anticipated questions if I’d supplied no explanations. My main point was that historically there IS more vulcanism during solar minimums. So there must be some kind of scientific explanation for that. Even if we hadn’t yet discovered it. Some claim to have discovered one, even if I can’t understand or explain their theory well. Vulcanism is of course common as a baseline, but increases during this solar minimum were predicted and I thought that concept deserved to be mentioned in the context of this thread. Many here, who deny the climate greenies, accept that solar minimums do have effects on earthly temperatures and weather patterns. Additional effects, via some kind of mechanism, are not implausible. I don’t currently have time to track back down my recollections; anyone interested can do their own research.
Or perhaps a solar minimum occurs when Earth increases it's lava output.
'Tis a conundrum!
