Dr. Anthony Fauci on Friday said it’s possible that Americans could eventually carry around certificates of immunity to the coronavirus once proper testing is widespread enough.
“That’s possible,” Dr. Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said on CNN’s “New Day.”
“It’s one of those things that we talk about when we want to make sure that we know who the vulnerable people are and not,” he said. “This is something that’s being discussed. I think it might actually have some merit.”
Sen. Bill Cassidy, Louisiana Republican, has pitched the idea of an immunity registry to document people no longer believed to be at risk of infection.
Federal and state officials have said that antibody testing to try to determine whether someone had the coronavirus is one of the next major fronts in the battle against COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.
Dr. Fauci said that within about a week, there will be a “rather large number” of tests that are available but that validating them is key.
“Other countries have gotten burned by this,” he said. “They need to be validated. You need to make sure that they’re consistent and that they’re accurate.”
“It’s very likely that there are a large number of people out there that have been infected, have been asymptomatic, and did not know they were infected,” Dr. Fauci said. “If their antibody test is positive, one can formulate kind of strategies about whether or not they would be at risk or vulnerable to getting reinfected.”

If my memory serves me correctly, the HIV/AIDS treatment came out of Europe and Fal-Chicom fought it because the treatment had not been through double-blind clinical trials just as he is doing with the Z-pack, Hyrdochloroquine, zinc sulfate treatment.
Perhaps he need to read the Hippocratic Oath—not today’s watered down version—the original which begins: “First, do no harm.”

Well it certainly seems in post 132 you compare the requirement to possess a driver license and registration for the priviledge of operating a vehicle on a highway, with the government requiring paperwork to go about your life.

President Trump has performed magnificently except in one, unfortunately far-reaching and damaging respect, he did not just seek knowledge and input from his team of "experts", he turned public policy over to them. By the end of April we'll learn if he recognizes the magnitude of his error in judgment and that he has taken decisive action to correct it.

He went even further by talking about how a vaccine will probably take too long and that to save the economy people may need to give themselves a minimally infective dose of the virus so people can recover and get back to working.

When have we EVER had to do this? Absolutely ridiculous. What good would a certification do, if you ran into someone who unknowingly gave you the virus? Or, if you picked up the virus in your local grocery store? Or sat on a plane, or did any number of things that could invalidate your certification?
