First two paragraphs:
"The Strategic National Stockpile says its supply of N95 respirator masks, surgical masks, face shields, gowns and other medical supplies needed for front-line workers to fight the coronavirus pandemic across the country is nearly depleted.
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) told The Associated Press Wednesday that the federal stockpile was in the process of distributing all remaining personal protective equipment in its inventory to state and local governments which will, in turn, pass it down to health care and essential workers who need it. HHS said it will keep a small portion in reserve to support federal response efforts."
OK, bad writing notwithstanding, where is the part about the the distribution model now is to send PPE directly to hospitals and points of need?
And, isn't pushing out PPE where it is needed what the National Stockpile is for?
How about an update on how much PPE has been distributed by the US Government to date?
Also, what about the part about HHS keeping a "small portion in reserve to support federal response efforts", as HHS should?
The remainder of the article goes on criticize the President and US Government's response to the pandemic.

What is this childish mentality that there should be an unlimited supply of everything, straight from the Federal government?
Have they checked all the warehouses in Puerto Rico?
Id like dessert. The President should make that happen.
The President will decide what goes into the stockpile, and the cupboards will not be bare.
So...Orange Man Bad!
And if the reserve was well-stocked, they would change headline to:
“Trump’s government is sitting on stockpiles of equipment, failing to distribute it to states in crisis”
Given that national defense is fedgov’s most basic mission, and the amount it spends each year, sufficient PPE stocks for biowarfare defense is a pretty reasonable ask.
DeWine fought with FDA to approve sterilization of PPE
