That’s very sad. She was one of the bravest women I’ve heard of. She did the right thing, pretty much sure of the fact that her name would be Mudd forevermore. And the girl whose life she most likely saved turned on her.

Sad in many respects. Tripp knew the minute "the girl" told Clinton that Tripp knew of the affair, that both of their lives were in jeopardy. Tripp as Vincent Foster's last secretary perhaps had reason the fear both of the Clintons.
