I think liberals who make offensive remarks, for the most part, are amazed that what they said raised any ire. They truly believe what they say. Further, they believe that “everybody” else feels the same way. Therefore, who could possibly be offended?
You only have to talk for a half hour with a liberal to find out they truly see a different world than a conservative.

I personally know and interact with lots of “liberals”, and believe I see more ANGER than surprise or disappointment at others’, especially their acquaintances’, differing POV’s.
