He said that he expects by the fall the U.S. will have enough herd immunity and have honed its disease mitigation protocols for the coronavirus enough that people will be able to return to public settings. If herd immunity is a desirable state, why did we self-isolate?
If disease mitigation protocols are important, why has he been so reticent about HCQ?

Because there were predictions of a surge of patients into hospitals that would collapse the health care system. This is pretty much what occurred in Italy. Our free-market based system is more robust. All along Trump should have been more honest that the goal was preventing this.
