An Illinois mayor on Monday said he was "embarrassed" after his wife was found at a prohibited social gathering over the weekend that was broken up by police.
Alton Mayor Brant Walker posted a statement to Facebook detailing the incident at Hiram's Tavern early Sunday morning. The gathering flouted a state-issued stay-at-home order that bans residents from leaving their homes for any reason but to buy essential items or to perform essential activities amid the coronavirus pandemic.
"I was also made aware that my wife was in attendance at this prohibited social gathering," Walker wrote. "I instructed the Police Chief to treat her as he would any citizen violating the 'Stay At Home' order and to ensure that she received no special treatment.

With good reason I’d say. She must be a real ditz....
I said that in post 7, but I think, after seeing Caww in post 9, I will have to amend my thoughts. The abstinence/social distancing in his house, will be permanent. The dude is CUT OFF forever. The man ALWAYS sleeps on the couch.

If true, points to him. His marriage was probably irrecoverably on the rocks anyway if his wife was trolling bars without him.
In her case, it might be. She couldn’t lay off the sauce for even a SHORT period of time.
If permanent, why be a gentleman? She screwed up and he’s cut off for all time? OK. So she can sleep on the couch, and he can bring a floozy home to keep his bed warm. But that only works on paper.
How about a double roll of the strong stuff?

I’d wager she was not practicing proper social distancing, either. Just a hunch.
