In November, Judge Tanya Chutkan of the district court in D.C. sided with several death row inmates who challenged the law, and agreed to temporarily suspend their executions. The Obama appointee ruled that the federal government likely exceeded its authority by creating a single uniform method of execution, rather than follow the state-by-state approach under the FDPA. ANNNNDDD - the reason she is WRONG is that some states don't have the death penalty.
You're getting whacked because you fell under the federal system.
I like to remind people of that in my non-death-penalty state.
