Wisconsin experiences long lines at limited voting locations amid pandemic
The Hill ^ | 04 07 2020 | Marty Johnson

Long voting lines are being reported in Wisconsin a day after the state Supreme Court blocked Gov. Tony Evers (D) from canceling in-person voting for the state's primary Tuesday amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Every state or territory that was scheduled to hold a primary in April has either moved completely to by-mail ballots or postponed until a later date, except for Wisconsin.

Polls are open but are operating at an extremely reduced capacity. In Milwaukee, the state's largest metropolitan area, only five polling places are open – the city usually has 180.

The state has so few poll workers that it mobilized 300 National Guard members to work the polls, CNN reported.

On Tuesday morning, Wisconsin's Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes called the primary a "shit show" in a tweet, putting the blame on the state's Assembly Speaker and Senate Majority leader, both Republicans.

Later Monday night, the Supreme Court, in a 5-4 decision, ruled that the state could not count any mail-in ballot that was postmarked after its primary election date, April 7.

The Supreme Court's decision overturned a lower state court's decision to allow in-mail ballots to be accepted until April 13, a week from Tuesday.

Hm, let me guess, Milwaukee is run by Democrats and they decided to only open up 5 sites instead of 180?

I always was told I had to vote ONLY in MY precinct!!! I couldn’t just go willy-nilly all over the town when I lived in Los Angeles.

Moved rural 27 years ago, and had only ONE place to go, so no problem.

Wisconsin is going to have alot to answer for.

My little’burg outside of Madistan has decided the entire city is going to cast their votes at the only high school in town. Instead of at the 6 usual polling places. Gee that’s swell, aint it

Given social distancing requirements, they should have expected long lines. At least 6 times longer than usual.

The less people vote in Milwaukee, the better for Republicans and reelecting Conservative State Supreme Court Justice backed by Trump.

A BS Hill story whose purpose is to slam the SC decision. The SC did the right thing, the Rats tried to get ballots accepted that were mailed a week after the election when the rats would know exactly how many they would need to steal it. Thank God the SC saw saw what the rats were trying to pull here. Exploiting the virus in every way they can think of. The MSM/DNC will be hoping a bunch of people get infected while voting. They will use it to force mail voting. This is just the opening round of Rat cheatfest 2020.

Democrats are reaching a fever pitch of hysterics.

Read the Twitter thread I posted.

If enough Democrats stay home, that would help in at least 2 ways.

My polling place (suburban Ozaukee County):

EMT’s bring in people one by one from outside for each voting district making sure to stay under the number. Person meets you at the door asks you to use hand sanitizer before going to get your ballot. Sign your name after showing ID. Put that pen into a different container.

Fill out your ballot. Give that pen to person to sanitize and then you leave out the back of the building.

4 minutes total from start to finish. No different than usual.

They had their sh!t together. Shockingly enough Tom Barrett wasn’t up to the task again in Milwaukee.

In a democracy, a political party should derive its power by winning a war of ideas. It shouldn’t wrest control by disenfranchising the vote.”

Note to Dipstick Dan: The United States of America is NOT a “democracy”.

Here’s your clue: “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands, one nation under God, with liberty and justice for all”.

The ONLY people in this Republic who are bound and determined to DISENFRANCHISE voter is YOU and YOUR ILK. GFY

Yeah, it’s a war, Dan. That’s why your side specializes in disinformation and lies.

The left’s dream is for ballot harvesting all mail election. Even President Trump would not be able to overcome that fraud.

Only a Democrat would think that having fewer places to vote would result in smaller crowds. They should have had more polling places, not less, and set them up so voters could stay well apart from each other. They could have even made a drive through polling place.

Waukesha Co polling - Lisbon, Merton, Sussex, Delafield, Oconomowoc, all organized staffed and moving people safely and professionally. watch out for midnight dump of outstanding absentee ballots in MKE especially since only 50% requested have been returned.
