He IS EXACTLY a Vindeman type officer who should be nothing more than a pencil pusher!! I am SO PROUD of the Secretary of Navy he sounds like a mans man and doesn’t give 2 shits about what the media has to say!!
He really does. At least three people, the SECNAV, his Chief of Staff, and his rear Admiral who was right there on the ship with him, apparently had no reason to believe he was seriously dissatisfied with the efforts they were making to deal with the problem.
The bit about the Governor of Guam sticks out to me in particular. If she was getting blowback, that means she had already arranged for his men to come ashore there and was in the process of getting it ready. He must have known this. To not even think about the effect this 5 page hysterical manifesto would have on all the people trying to help him... that speaks volumes about either his state of mind at the time or his attitude in general.
