A growing number of coronavirus cases in Japan has prompted Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to announce a state of emergency as soon as Tuesday in Tokyo and six other prefectures in an attempt to slow the outbreak.
Abe's announcement on Monday came as Tokyo reported 83 new cases of COVID-19.
This state of emergency declaration is to ensure the medical care system stays intact and to ask for even more cooperation from the people to avoid contact with each other to reduce infection as much as possible," the Japanese prime minister said.

85 deaths so far on the most densely populated landmasses on earth... 125+ million people and 85 deaths without lock downs. Let’s hope that they do not lock-down.
The regular ‘flu season’ is prevalent in winter because people are stuck indoors with sick people passing on their flu to those who cohabitate with them... So why in the world would you recommend that we all be stuck indoors as a solution to any pandemic?
Lock-downs are creating death and not saving lives. That will be the ultimate conclusion of any thoughtful and truthful analysis of our reaction to this pandemic. Air travel was the main source of transmission and banning air travel and true quarantining of travelers did and, would have saved more life’s if such measures were instituted in a more timely fashion.

Not sure if they’re effective or not but how are they creating death?
Italy’s lockdown slowed things down immensely.
I think by at the latest and of April all this has to stop.
But thinking few people having contact CAUSES more deaths...that’s a reach
I guess they’re calling 525 new deaths good news... Check out the charts... They went lock down and the death rate went up, up, up... And even with a lower death rate yesterday, than the day before... Today’s could be higher... They’ve had drops and rises throughout this pandemic, but their trajectory is still upwards even after being locked down for over a month.
