The old paradigms of drug approval do not work in a crisis. Those who are on the front lines fighting this disease are signalling what works but the profession clings to the “drug testing “ process established when we have plenty of time? We do not have that time. So what is your agenda?Politics now enters the care arena as governors and some insurance groups prohibit the use of this drug ? SICK! Many will die because of it, and when the hostory of this epidemic is written, you will be on the side of draconian plutocrats and fools.
Crisis brings about the necessity of what is called an asymmetrical assessment of risk. I can’t see what is so difficult in this.Its life or death for so many on this issue.

From what I’ve been reading, a major argument against handing out hydroxychloroquine to almost anyone (which is what more & more of the general public seem to think should be done) is that it causes a shortage for people who are currently relying on it daily for malaria, Lupus, arthritis, etc. If a million people want the drug for COVID-19 illness, that 10 million doses won’t go far.
