Even in my county in Florida we have relatively few cases and very few deaths ( except among nursing home residents, theoretically isolated from “the old man’s friend”) but people have lost their jobs and now don’t even want to walk by other people on the street. Insane. Panic and hysteria created by the media.
That’s a bit like saying, “Hey, I don’t think Russian Roulette is dangerous at all because I don’t know of anyone in my area who has died from it. So, I think I’ll just pick up a revolver, point it at my head, and start pulling the trigger.”
The reason few if any die from Russian Roulette is because most are smart enough NOT TO PLAY IT. Similarly, the relatively low Wuhan Virus death rates in many locations at the moment are because WE’RE ALL LOCKED IN OUR HOMES. It’s not, as with the analogy above, because the discussed activity is not dangerous.
