The Episcopal Diocese of Missouri will soon have a new bishop. The Rev. Deon Johnson officially will become the 11th bishop of the diocese when he is consecrated on June 13. Johnsons transition into the role is historic: Hes the first openly gay bishop to lead the Diocese of Missouri.
He and his husband and their two kids moved to St. Louis in February with hopes of getting adjusted to the region. That was put on hold as the coronavirus pandemic grew. St. Louis Public Radios Marissanne Lewis-Thompson spoke with Johnson about his new role and how hes approaching the position in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

God is not pleased. Does not bode well for the Episcopal Church.
If any FReepers still support NPR, know that it is a liberal propaganda machine.
Episcopal Church = Church of the High Holy Anus and Sainted Rectal Prolapse
I supported them many years ago, for quality programming such as Car Talk, but not in at least the last decade.
The new Neon-Deon!
I've not looked deeply into this but at first glance he appears to be a fag.

I prefer churches that follow the Bible. None of us are perfect, but openly celebrating our sins is not appropriate.
I looked at their website. The diocese covers the eastern half of Missouri and has only about 10,000 members. About 2/3 of the clergy are women.
I see the new bishop is set to be ordained at St. Stanislaus Polish National Catholic Church, and the current bishop was ordained at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. What’s up with that?
I had an interest in the EC and attended the cathedral in St. Louis forty years ago. Looks like I dodged a bullet by deciding not to join.

"I is yo' new bishop!"
This stuff is exactly why the virus is upon us.
