PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) - A local veteran is celebrating two big milestones this week. Not only is he turning 104, but he's also celebrating his recovery from coronavirus. William Lapschies lives at the Edward C. Allworth Oregon Veterans Home in Lebanon. He was one of at least 15 residents to tested positive for the virus last month.
William, who was diagnosed with coronavirus at the beginning of March, was very sick and after eight days took a turn for the worse. His family says they thought he might not make it.
His family says that doctors tried a couple of things - including using hydroxychloroquine - a drug used to treat malaria. Now, they say he has made a 'wonderful recovery' and continues to get better every day.
Being retired as an auto mechanic, I would say if I had bad rings from my engine being 3-4 qts. low on oil....that would be the least of my problems. At that point, the only thing the oil would be of any use for would be in a new engine. If that is Gov. Brown’s thinking, she is way off the mark & is a danger in her position as governor.
They're waiting till you test positive, when you should have been dumping the Seafoam in 4,000 miles ago.
104.
He was in the safe age group.
I think around 150 it gets dangerous :)
:)
I hope you are well but I already know that the virus would say “we don’t have a chance of taking this woman down” and move on :)
Im coping like everyone. Terrible times.
