You bring up another very important point. How many people were due to die statistically anyway vs. how many more are dying because of corona 19? Key numbers here.
No doubt the largest subway system in the country and the fact that public transportation is the overwhelming way people travel around the city. But the huge Chinatown and direct connections to Wuhan have contributed to the disaster. The borough of Queens has the largest Asian American population by county outside the Western United States.
There are 395,009 Chinese living there according to census figures and the number is probably significantly higher if illegal aliens were included. One-third of all coronavirus patients come from Queens, which has been the epicenter of New York City’s outbreak almost from the start. As of 5 p.m. April 4, the borough registered 20,371 cases.
The academics whose models are a disaster are telling us it is growing exponentially.
The Bill Gates funded model, IHME, is the one selected by Birx and Fauci to guide our efforts. The model has been fairly accurate on deaths so far, but way off on hospitalizations, which it projected to be four times higher than the current reality. The model was last updated on April 1 with real data and promised to update by April 4. That promise was not kept and they have taken down the promise and now just say, "As the pandemic progresses, we are working to incorporate new data about the virus in the US."
Something is up. IHME is hiding data that will show how far off the model is. Hospitalizations is a key indicator of how many deaths we can expect in the future.
The Covid Tracking Project data report nationwide there are 22,158 currently hospitalized and 38,615 cumulative. Quite different from the Gates model, which projected that by April 5, 179,267 beds would be needed. Twitter is filled with videos from around the country showing empty hospital waiting rooms and parking lots. In many places, doctors, nurses, etc. are being furloughed due to the lack of patients. That makes sense outside the hot zones. Lockdowns, canceling of elective surgery and other medical procedures have reduced traffic to a standstill. Add to that the fear of going to medical facilities could increase your chances of contracting the disease.
Where is the MSM? The are preoccupied with gotcha questions for Trump instead of asking more penetrating questions of Birx and Fauci about the deficiencies in the model and the under used medical facilities in most of the country.

On CBS they are coming back to show the devastating effect of the virus(code trumps virus)on citizens.they will run family after family in trouble because they insisted that everyone close up for business.Its a slick game if you play it right,we need to constantly expose them.

As of today Alabama has 1,676 confirmed cases including 43 new cases today. There have been a total of 45 deaths including 1 new death today. 212 people cumulative have been hospitalized to date.
On April 1 there were 1,077 positive cases with 26 deaths. I guess you can say that "cases are skyrocketing," but it is all relative.
The more concerning figure would be that the percentage of positives of total testing is now around 10%, i.e., 1,580 positives out of 10,853 total tests.
Problem is they went up against Donald J.Trump who they can't beat never have and never will.
Trump is a race car driver and he will manage to pull the speeding vehicle over to the side. He will repair the damage to the car and get it back on the road to success. How he does it may not be apparent now but it will happen.

I have been reading with great interest comments following an article Sundance wrote:
In talking to medical people across the country, I keep hearing similar stories of layoffs, furloughs etc. Many doctors fear losing their practices and wondered aloud if this was a concerted attempt to crash the medical system and convert it to a one payer system.
In my area, all elective surgeries are canceled. Regular appts are canceled and their will only be a telephone or FaceTime “mtg” with your doctor. Dentists, optometrists, Veterinarians are shut down with only one emergency facility open.
2 nights ago we had to take in our Swedish Vallhund dog who ate some plastic piping he found in the yard. the Vet staff came out to get him, we were not allowed in and they gave him back to us the next day in the parking lot. They are working with only 1/4 of their staff. My husband is a Vet, so there we were giving IV meds, doing dressing changes on a large abdominal incision and monitoring the dog throughout the night. Neither of us have done night shifts for years! LOL! The dog has recovered and will live to eat another object someday.
Deplorable Daughter said true, but since I'm homeschooled I'm smarter than most in public school... 😋
