Dr. Deborah Birx: This Is Not the Time to Go to the Grocery Store
Breitbart ^ | 4/4/20 | Charlie Spiering

Posted on 04/04/2020 6:58:35 PM PDT by david1292

Dr. Deborah Birx said Saturday that Americans should especially focus on social distancing guidelines in the next two weeks to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

“This is the moment to not be going to the grocery store, not going to the pharmacy, but doing everything you can to keep your family and your friends safe,” she said.

Birx noted that Pennsylvania, Colorado, and the Washington, DC, metro area were starting to have an increasing number of cases.

“We’re hoping and believing that if people mitigate strongly, the work that they did over the last two weeks will blunt that curve,” she said.

She pointed to really bad hotspots in New Jersey and New York, where cases of the virus and deaths were still going up.

“The next two weeks are extraordinarily important,” she said.

Dr. Anthony Fauci also said three or four hotspots were continuing to rise, but that certain areas could flatten the curve by social distancing.

“Just make sure everybody does the at least minimal amount of that physical separation, because the virus has no place to go if you’re physically separating,” Fauci said.

Dress like you’re walking out into a storm where everybody you see is a pandemic carrier....

Whatever the source is, it does not match up with the CDC weekly morbidity and mortality reports.

Tracking the spread is very similar to tracking a storm.....what she’s saying is the storm is here...wherever you are and it’s going to hoover for weeks.

I wouldn’t look much different than anyone else going there.

Talked to the manager today to see when the best time and day to come in would be, and if I would freak anyone out with my bandanna and goggle glasses.

He said I would not believe the things people are coming in the store with. They’ve seen it all now, don’t worry about the bandanna, he said...

Sounds to me like grocery stores are slowing down their orders for these next couple weeks as well.....People can ignore the warnings given but the stores are listening and determining what the traffic will or not be.

“Don’t eat, don’t use the meds that work, and use a mask that you can’t find. Gee, thanks doc.”

The Ministry of Propaganda said we should buy at least two weeks of groceries on the evening news a couple days ago. Do these people actually go to the grocery store? Empty shelves everywhere. WTH?

Mrs. foxfield freezes whole eggs, shell and all, in freezer bags. It’s very easy to remove shells when thawed. Great for baking.

When you have a deadly virus on the move wherever it wants and people still out and about....the game plays are going to move as well....

Kinda like watching a football game where the teams move back and forth over the lines on a field and the potential for scoring is projected and changes along the way.....

Good, no need to worry.......I saw a lady with plastic bags over her hands....another wore mittens....and one guy was wearing skiing googles.....others too who had nothing for protection.

Well I don't look at the figures so much as what's happening at the hospitals, what the frontline people are saying.....that alone should cause people to understand this virus is deadly and highly infectious. ..and treatment is rough to say the least.

You know, earlier I was joking about going to the store Monday and just putting a Glad Heavy Duty trash bag on my head and duct taping it to my neck.

100% CoronaV proof! No way that sucker is gonna get in there. But it seems like I might be overlooking something important :D

If I really had to guess at what’s going to happen Monday, I’ll either chicken out, or I’ll all of a sudden out of nowhere decide to go, and bring no protective measures whatsoever, because that is exactly what happened the last time I went to Winn Dixie.

You do realize 1500 avg over a number of weeks is more than that spike right? Graphs are manipulated to show what the interests of the designer are.

Precisely. Graphs can be so manipulated by their axies.

You do realize there are BILLIONS of people on the planet?! Stop focusing on the sick/tested #’s... the denominator IS much greater than tested/accounted for todate.

Actually it would if there was 2000/week... the graph is manipulated.

Oh - I agree. Especially those first images coming out of China - this is a far worse thing than any flu. And just imagine what the world-wide chart would look like if the real numbers for China were given.

This virus still has a long way to go in the USA I fear. I just wish that real data be used. Using an unrealistic chart of earlier flu cases to compare it to just allows people to discredit the whole idea that we should be taking the CV seriously.

So far, we only have 24 deaths, but I haven’t been able to find the recovered stats.
