Apparently non members were given a brief window to register as supporters to vote. There are also “affiliated supporters”, members of certain unions.

I wouldn’t like non-members voting to choose my party leader, either. If Labour wants to elect a leader who makes Hitler look like a member of B’nai B’rith, let ‘em. That’ll keep the UK from electing them to majority anytime soon.

I don’t ever agree with any of that, open primaries, letting Bernie run as a Dem, etc. Never get why anyone does that. If you want to participate in my party’s processes, join my party, otherwise how do I know you are really on my side?
