Many are moving from nursing home beds to hospital beds. At any given point in time, a significant number of nursing home patients are in the hospital and not the nursing home where they live.
There is a need for more beds. But how many more is an estimate of probability, just as how many test positive but don’t need hospitalization is a probability. Because the data is so far new and small, the range of probability is very broad from low to high.
Some use the high number to to safe, rather than sorry. Some use the high number to get more attention and money.
Some use the high number to panic the public into taking the matter serioously. Believe it or not, I see many in my southside Atlanta who are not taking it seriously.
Try comparing it to modelers of the 2016 election.
Funeral Homes and directors are licensed solelyt for public health reasons. Nursing homes and staff are licensed primarily for public health reasons.
Government regulation is not working. Should we double down on it or reduce it?
Funeral directors invite humdreds to funerals where the virus is spread by people crying and coughing and sneezing through runny noses while hugging each other.
Nursing Homes bus the elderly to funerals, and to church, where they can exchange virus with those from other nursing homes, and with those not in nursing homes.
Where Funderals and Nursing Homes are predominantly Black, the virus victims are Black. Where Funerals and Nursing Homes are predominantly white, the virus victims are white.
Rush is certainly aware of 2016 election models and now of 2018 and 2020 election models.

It’s a term used to validate propaganda. The first time I heard the word “model” used was in conjunction with the global warming scam. From that point on anytime anything was associated with a “model” I knew it had to be bullshit.
The hospital ship is for non COVID patients to ease the load from the local hospitals caring for those stricken with the virus. It will fill slowly but surely.
Just a guess, but I know they pretty much emptied the hospitals. No elective surgeries are being done. Normal accidents aren’t happening. And Medicare cases are offloaded to rehab places without the “required” stay.
The hospitals have done a great job making beds available. Locally, it is assumed the “surge” isn’t going to start until next week.
But every day, the available bed number is shrinking.
well, it would appear people staying at home and keeping a safe distance is working, in addition they really can’t get correct stats as ‘this entire thing is fast moving and changing’.....
The chief of surgery at NYU was saying that it is only being used for post-op recovery. Of which there is very little. He suggested a better use would be for non-ICU Covid patients.
Yeah I’m aware its for non covid patients. Time will tell if it’s really needed.

My mother died in the middle of last month. The viewing was limited to a few people at a time, all in the same family, not several siblings together with their various family members, so only about 3-4 could go in together. A daughter and husband with a couple kids...more than that had to go in separately. So, not all funerals are being held in large facilities with large numbers. That is an assumption. Not necessarily true. This was in kokomo, Indiana.
Yesterday Debbie Birx acknowledged the 93K number for total deaths. That is the one they really believe. Otherwise they never would have let it come out of Andrew Cuomo’s mouth.
Half to a third of those in NY/NJ I reckon.
