'Judge Issues Scathing Order' After Watchdog Flags Rampant Flaws in FBI Surveillance.......

The lead judge of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court reprimanded the FBI over widespread flaws in surveillance applications uncovered by the Justice Department inspector general.

In an order issued on April 3, Judge James Boasberg directed the FBI to turn over the names of the targets in the 29 applications audited by the inspector general.

The inspector general’s audit, the results of which were released in a memo to the FBI on March 30, found that every one of the 29 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) applications reviewed had a missing or inadequate Woods File—a group of records that substantiate the facts the bureau asserts in applications to the court.

In addition to turning over the names and docket numbers for the 29 FISA applications, the judge asked the government to assess whether any of the applications contained “material misstatements and omissions,” and whether these flaws render the court’s surveillance orders invalid. The judge is also asking the bureau to identify the four applications for which a Woods File was missing entirely.

Boasberg gave the bureau until June 15 to comply.

Yeah, but what were the judges doing all this time so willfully blind?

Absolutely the correct question. Here’s another...why isn’t the judge requesting the same from the judges who presided over those cases and are they exploring the often incestuous relationship between those judges and folks presenting the information.... DC is replete with conflicts at the top levels.

Yeah, but what were the judges doing all this time so willfully blind?

Exactly. Sounds like they were either totally incompetent or totally compliant. I vote #2.

There were four applications with no attached Woods Procedures documentation.

It was up to the FISA judges to reject those.

They did not.

Rubber stamp hacks. They own this as much as the FBI.

Spending some of the money that went missing from Mrs Clinton’s State Department? 1.4 Billion I think I read. That kind of money buys plenty of judges

“There were four applications with no attached Woods Procedures documentation”

They didn’t even have the common decency to forge the “Wood forms” like the rest of the affidavit.

That’s kind of what I was thinking too. These sternly worded letters are really effective, aren’t they? /S

These Obama Judge tools have been caught completely failing to do their jobs of oversight and have decided it’s time to find scapegoats. Yeah, the Justice Department lawyers are totally corrupt, but it was YOUR job to ask the right questions, and you failed.

One would assume that the ‘judges’ involved in these cases occasionally took the time to actually read the briefs filed with the cases. If so, the ‘judges’ surely would have noticed this lack of supporting documentation, right?

Sadly, these folks are nothing but rubber stamps for the establishment deep state operatives. It is quite clear that the aren5even looking at these cases before they approve surveillance orders against citizens. The court should be shut down and the ongoing cases shut down as well, since it is obvious that we can’t trust any of the accompanying documentation (if any such documentation actually exists).

Trump now has everything he needs to justify vetoing any renewal of this kangaroo court.

After reading the comments of others I have an observation and suggestion.

Our country is based on checks and balances. The judges have to be skeptical in issuing warrant if the system is to work. They clearly were not.

It is time to demand many of them be impeached as a lesson to future judges that they must be vigilant, skeptical and demand proof. For a judge to be fired is the ultimate lesson.

“Boasberg gave the bureau until June 15 to comply”

BS, it should be April 15th. Nearly 2 1/2 months for those traitor to hatch their plan of deceit and get everyone on board talking the same line.
