Kennedy misadventures—flying, skiing,
driving etc.
In the book The Kennedy Heirs it
mentions how a family friend took
teenage Caroline for a flying
lesson without Jackie’s permission.
She got angry when she found out.
After all the family’s tragedies,
she didn’t want to tempt fate.
JFK Jr, then 13 and a couple of
years too young for lessons, wanted
to be able to fly that day, too.
Warned about flying while inexperienced, JFK Jr killed
himself,his wife Carolyn and his
sister in law when his plane
plunged on the way to Martha’s Vineyard.
His plane crashed. He was flying in dense fog and he crashed. We don't know if the plane actually plunged, it might have skimmed or slid, but most likely crashed. Nobody really knows exactly what happened to him and his passengers, flying in a private plane while contemplating running for the Senate seat that Hillary Clinton had her eye on and was subsequently elected to.
He was warned not to fly in those conditions. He ignored the warning. If he wanted to risk his life ... well, fine. But he was also responsible for the deaths of his wife and sister-in-law. Hubris, plain and simple.
