Pennsylvania's system of state-owned liquor stores, closed because of the novel coronavirus outbreak, resumed limited online sales Wednesday only to have the state’s Fine Wine & Good Spirits website fail to keep up with demand.

The state's website is accepting a "controlled number" of daily orders but plans to expand as it develops more capacity.

The website had an apology posted Thursday morning that told customers that “due to overwhelming demand, the online store is not available at this time.”

People looking to reload their booze supply are urged to try again in the coming days.

After shutting down all of the state-owned liquor stores just in time for National House Arrest, Tommy the Commie Wolf tries to re-open them for online sales, only to learn that he sucks at running a website just as much as his buddy Obama.

Suddenly a lot of the ears at the Kennedy Compound perked up.

I can't get into the website so I assume the governor's apparatchiks got first crack at the vodka.

Any hillbillies out in the Alleghenies running backyard stills must be raking in the dough.

Remember, this is the state government we are talking about. Of course they are going to muck this up.

Private companies mastered online retailing years ago.

This is why we do not want the government to run our health care!

Are border states still open for booze?
If so I bet they’re busy.
Like Indiana gun and fireworks stores near Chicago.

I ordered some wine online direct from the winery.
Fast, efficient, bottles arrived in one piece.

Will probably take the state another 40-50 years to catch-up with that.

Yes (although Maryland is threatening to toss you in the clink if they find you out and about, so that's sort of a grey area). Wolf is the only one this dumb.

I use Splash wines. I can order a case tonight and have it delivered on Saturday.

I am confused. If lucky enough to place an order , do they ship it to you or do you have to pick it up at the State Store?

They will ship it to your home. However, you can’t even order because the website keeps crashing just like the Obamacare portal.
