The Oral Arguments in Duncan v. Becerra (The California Magazine Ban) were held today. I have attached the video.
The Judges on the Panel were:
Kenneth K. Lee (Trump Appointee) Barbara M. Lynn (Klintoon Appointee District Judge sitting by designation.) I think, but I am not certain that the third judge is Consuelo Callahan (GWB appointee) but she didn't say her name at the outset. (Can anyone check me on that?)

Interesting. Barbara Lynn is the chief judge of the Northern District of Texas, in Dallas. It’s not that common for district judges from other circuits to sit on a circuit court panel.
As I am going through this, it looks like Callahan and Lee are on the side of Freedom. They were much tougher in the questioning of the AG.
Took me a couple before I realized it is not the paper kind of magazine. Then again I am old!

That’s good. Callahan has written from a Pro-Second Amendment standpoint in the past.
Benitez wrote a great opinion.
A friend knows him pretty well.

Back when I was in high school Roger Benitez was one of the coaches for our Mock Trial team. And his law firm was in the same building as the CPA firm my mother worked for.
I am REALLY wanting a strike down of a magazine ban (and restrictions) as a violation of the 2nd. If we get that and if supported by SCOTUS, lots of local laws fall apart. I live in Colorado and while our 15 round limit does not really impact pistols, it does do two things.
1) The state assumes it has the authority to limit firearm function and if allowed to stand, 15 rounds will be turned down to 10 and then 5. And other hairbrain magazine restrictions will pop up
2) Overturning the ban would allow for the resumption of self manufactured (3d printed or stamped) magazines.
I'm liking this Judge Roger Benitez more every minute.

There is no time limit. I’d suspect several weeks at the earliest for a decision.
does anyone know if they publish transcripts of oral arguments? The Supreme Court does. I couldn’t find it in the 9th Circuit’s page, unless it’s something you have to have PACER for.
I don’t think the Circuit Courts make them readily available like SCOTUS does, but SCOTUS doesn’t allow cameras like the Ninth Circuit does.
Yeah, looks like it. I ended up listening to the vid, which was interesting. Personally, I prefer transcripts, because you can't really search a recording very easily.
