An international poll of more than 6,000 doctors released Thursday found that the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine was the most highly rated treatment for the novel coronavirus.
The survey conducted by Sermo, a global health care polling company, of 6,227 physicians in 30 countries found that 37% of those treating COVID-19 patients rated hydroxychloroquine as the most effective therapy from a list of 15 options.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration gave chloroquine and its next-generation derivative, hydroxychloroquine, emergency-use authorization Monday for treating the novel coronavirus, although the drug was already being used off-label by some doctors and hospitals for COVID-19 patients.
The survey also found that the most commonly prescribed treatments are analgesics (56%), azithromycin (41%) and hydroxychloroquine (33%).

From the article:
Outside the U.S., hydroxychloroquine was equally used for diagnosed patients with mild to severe symptoms whereas in the U.S. it was most commonly used for high risk diagnosed patients, the survey found.
I assume that means the US is using it most often AFTER the case becomes more severe. I'm actually not sure if I'm interpreting that correctly.

Global Warming proved polling IS science.
So now we have scientific proof for Hydroxycholquine.

You got it right.
Can’t let Orange Man be right.
Don’t think it works that well if you start the treatment right before they go critical.
Works best if the treatment is started right when symptoms develop.
Kinda’ like starting birth control after you have sex.

It's so frustrating. Is it natural that I'm starting to feel like the medical and scientific communities are the most condescending, arrogant communities there are? What the heck am I missing? Everything I've read says to start the treatment when symptoms are mild, yet they appear to simply not be interested in listening.

[[physicians in 30 countries found that 37% of those treating COVID-19 patients rated hydroxychloroquine as the most effective therapy from a list of 15 options.]]
Ok so what do the other 63% of doctors find to be more effective than Hydroxy?
[[I assume that means the US is using it most often AFTER the case becomes more severe.]]
Sounds to me like they use it only if a person is high risk, ie has several conditions, elderly, disabled etc- not that they are waiting till they are severely struggling-

The drug cocktail is working!! Everyone in the US who has symptoms and confirmed coronavirus should be taking it..no one asks during the white house press briefings anything about the status of these drug trials

I think it’s more that they are all afraid of being sued- perhaps- or soem kind of retribution from the govs who ban the use of it

Gastric freezing, the Halstead radical mastectomy, B12 shots, the list of therapies rated “most effective” by doctors worldwide which either don’t work or which cause harm is very long.

I considered that as a possibility as well.
Ok so what do the other 63% of doctors find to be more effective than Hydroxy?
From the article:
Azithromycin, known by the brand name Zithromax or Z-Pak, was rated the second-most effective therapy at 32%, followed by nothing, analgesics (including acetaminophen), anti-HIV drugs, and cough medicine
So I'm gathering that 37% are rating HCQ, and 32% are rating Z-PAK (alone) which accounts for 69%. Then we don't get percentages for "Nothing", "aceta", "anti-hiv", and "cough medicine".
So I'm guessing "nothing" came in 3rd.

Well heres some more anecdotal stories.

From the blog:
Our goal should therefore to reduce the mortality in those who are at greatest risk of dying.”
That doesn’t seem to be the goal of states like NY, Michigan Virginia etc where they ban the use of Hydroxy unless one is in a study/trial- their goal seems to be to prevent as many people from getting the drugs off label as possible- apparently they are just fine with 10’s of 1000’s dying while they fart around waiting for clinical trials to end-
